Take their woeful performance against the Titans two weeks ago and throw it up against the brilliant and committed footy produced against the Sharks last Sunday and you’ve basically summarised Canberra’s 2012 season in a fortnight. They now find themselves just two points out of the top-eight with a bunch of other sides.
The Knights have won four of their past five to be sitting with the Raiders and others on 20 points. Coach Wayne Bennett would have been proud of the way his troops fought back from 18-0 down to finish 24-19 victors over the Warriors last weekend, keeping the club’s slim finals hopes alive. Newcastle fans need not get too excited though because their team does face an extremely tough run home.
