MISSING IN ACTION: For the Bulldogs, winger Luke MacDougall returns from an elbow injury to replace rookie Brett Lane, while youngsters Dale Finucane and Josh Jackson have been added to an extended bench. The club hopes to get utility Joel Romelo (ankle) back in Round 18.
No changes for the Storm this week, but star full-back Billy Slater will be on the sidelines for possibly a month following the well-publicised knee injury he suffered in Origin II.

FORM: When Josh Morris crossed for a try just after half-time last Friday night, the Bulldogs appeared set for an absolute mauling of the Dragons, leading 28-6. But they stopped playing after that point and could have lost the game in the final 10 minutes had it not been for some desperate defence. The much-improved Dogs have now won five of their past six matches and are looking good for a top-four finish.

Melbourne had to do without Slater on Monday night, but his teammates successfully filled the void in a high quality encounter at Brookvale Oval. Things went swimmingly with Gareth Widdop at full-back and Cam Smith in the No. 6 jersey as Melbourne fought back from a six-point deficit to finish 26-22 victors against arch-rivals Manly. They retain their six-point lead at the top of the table.
