MISSING IN ACTION: Raiders coach David Furner has taken a gamble by selecting star full-back Josh Dugan in the No. 6 jersey upon his return from being stood down for breaching the club’s strict alcohol policy. FORM: The under-strength Raiders were brushed aside 36-18 by the Rabbitohs last Friday night to make it four losses from their past five games, but it could have been far worse had the likes of Shaun Fensom, Josh Papalii and the slippery Reece Robinson not been on the paddock. Coach David Furner has one hell of job lifting this side to top-eight standard without injured skipper and playmaker Terry Campese providing the on-field inspiration.
The Tigers are yet to a produce a polished 80 minute performance in 2012, but they have rediscovered the art of winning and their five victories on the trot have seen them edge into the top eight for the first time this season. Last Sunday’s 26-18 defeat of the top-four Cowboys was probably their most impressive victory of the year.
