Brisbane showed they are over any mid-season form slump with a strong
26-12 win over South Sydney last Friday night. After just two wins in
their previous six games, it was a commanding performance from Anthony
Griffin’s side against another genuine title contender. The Broncos
enjoy playing the Shire boys, winning 30 of 46 previous clashes.
The Sharks come into this match fresh and full of confidence after a
week off with the bye and on the back of a two-game winning run. They
have proved on a few occasions this season they can win without their
inspirational skipper, as shown by the victory over the Warriors a
