MISSING IN ACTION: The Knights received a huge blow in their last match with skipper Kurt Gidley suffering a shoulder injury which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the season. Tyrone Roberts has been called into the side at half-back. If Gidley’s absence isn’t bad enough, the Knights will also be missing hooker Danny Buderus for a minimum of three weeks with an Achilles injury. Matt Hilder is likely to come into the starting line-up with Wayne Bennett needing to add someone to his bench. The Roosters are unchanged with back-rower Boyd Cordner returning on a five-man bench.
FORM: After a strong start to the season with four wins from their opening six games, the Roosters have dropped the last two games to drop out of the top eight. But it is really hard to get a gauge on Brian Smith’s side because their performances have been so erratic. They were thrashed by the Cowboys in Darwin a couple of weeks back but then arguably gave their best display of the season on Anzac Day, leading the Dragons by eight points only to throw it away in the last four minutes.
