Knights’ mid-season revival continued with a 36-6 demolition of
Canberra on Sunday. Wayne Bennett’s men have now won five of their past
six matches to be one of the form teams in the comp. They have climbed
to ninth on the NRL ladder, on equal points with eighth-placed Gold
Coast.
The Bulldogs are the hottest team in the competition having won their
past nine on the trot to lead South Sydney by two points on top of the
NRL ladder. Des Hasler’s charges didn’t have things all their own way
against North Queensland but showed their class when the pressure was
on, piling on 14 points in the final nine minutes to post a hard-fought
