MISSING IN ACTION: Sea Eagles coach Geoff Toovey has been able to name a full-strength side for the first time since Round 1. But whether they all take the field remains to be seen. The Eels remain rooted
to the bottom of the NRL ladder after a limp effort in going down 20-12
to Newcastle last weekend. While they showed glimpses of their best in
the match, their inability to sustain it for long periods again cost
them a shot at victory. With games against Canterbury, Melbourne and
Brisbane to come after this one, it’s hard to see retiring veterans
Nathan Hindmarsh and Burt avoiding finishing their careers with the
wooden spoon.
